I am more than excited to feature Miss Danielle owner of Studio Fleurette. I have had the pleasure of working with Danielle on a few styled shoots of mine here and here. I am also so excited for my September wedding we are both apart of. She just doesn’t skip a beat with her creations. What I love about Danielle is that I can come to her with my vision; a very minimal vision and she nails it from me giving her only a color pallet, vibe and that’s pretty much it. Crazy, right? I want you to have the pleasure of knowing her too. Here is just a little bit about Miss Danielle. You can see more of her amazing creations below.
1.Tell me a little bit about you and your business
I love flowers, plants and trees and come from a family business in the horticulture field. It was an easy decision to get a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design. I was involved in my family’s business and then moved on to become a garden designer in the twin cities for a landscape architect company. I love color and design so that is how I made the transition into the wedding industry and I find my never ending desire for flowers and color fulfilled here – it’s not quite as limiting as professional gardening in Minnesota/Wisconsin seasons!
2. What is your fav thing about weddings?
I love all the details and helping to tie it together with the blooms we choose as well as texture and color.
3. What are you loving about the wedding industry these days?
The soft romantic style is so beautiful and natural. It fits well with my organic design and appreciation for nature.
4. What is one thing you like to tell your couples?
Day of wedding coordinators are so worth the money!
5. If you weren’t in the wedding industry, what would you like to do?
I like the medical field and worked in a hospital and nursing homes during college – I would be a nurse and branch off into horticulture therapy.
6. Tell us something we don’t know about you?
I was a 911 operator in-between getting my college degrees but only for a short time – ha! Not the best match for me. But I met my husband doing that so I guess it was meant to be!
There you have it! I hope you love Dani’s work as much as I do. And she’s so great too!!
